So just because you tell the SSD to write all 0s or all 1s sequentially like DBAN does, you can not guarantee that the SSD will actually do that. The SSD controller shuffles data around in order to do write caching and wear leveling on the NAND. Unlike HDDs, SSDs aren't really capable of writing data to a specific sector. It's not actually effective at erasing data on SSDs.In fact, the software itself specifically warns you not to use it on SSDs.
